What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small piece of information saved by your browser and sent back to the site. Similar browser storage can serve the same purpose.

Cookies we use

Supabase authentication cookies (names beginning `sb-`)

Purpose: keep you signed in, refresh your session and protect access to your entry or staff account.

Duration: the browser cookie can last up to 400 days and may be renewed while you are signed in. Signing out clears the sign-in cookies.

These cookies are needed for the account service you request, so they do not have an optional cookie switch. The public competition pages can be viewed without signing in.

Links to other sites

If you open a video link or another external site, that service may set its own cookies. Its policy explains its choices. The video itself is hosted by the service the entrant selected, not by TechTides Youth.

Your browser controls

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the essential sign-in cookies may stop account features from working. If we add optional cookies later, we will explain them here and ask for a choice before using them where required.
